GreenVolts system deployments are being scheduled for Charter Customers. These customers have projects that are strong candidates for Concentrating Photovoltaics’ high energy production and are located in areas with an abundant solar resource. If you are interested in GreenVolts’ Charter Customer program and have a project that might qualify, please submit your request for information.
GreenVolts is constructing a 3 MW CPV power plant to fulfill a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E).
The power plant takes advantage of GreenVolts’ ability to produce utility scale power on the distribution grid and it is being built in close proximity to PG&E’s customer base near Tracy, CA.
“[The GreenVolts Project] provides PG&E with a clean, reliable, and cost efficient way to deliver additional solar power to our customers,” said Fong Wan, Vice President of Energy Procurement, PG&E. “By harnessing the power of the sun’s rays in a scalable way, we are taking a significant step towards reaching California’s renewable portfolio goal of supplying twenty percent of our customer needs with qualifying renewable energy.”
